Recommended Ministries

We are passionate about serving the poor in Jesus' name, so we look for ministries in the developing world who are good stewards of their resources and who share the Gospel and disciple believers as they address physical needs.

Below are some of the ministries we endorse. You should know that we take absolutely no compensation from these ministries, nor do we take out a percentage of the money given to them.

The donation buttons accept PayPal and credit card. If you'd rather send a check, our address is here. 100% of your gift will go to the designated ministry.

If you'd like to help us continue to offer free development services to these and other effective, trustworthy ministries, click here.

Thanks for considering these ministries in need.

Face of My Father Children's Home (Mexico)

Face of My Father website

Tod and Kristi Ramey and their three girls are moving to a small town near Guadalajara, Mexico to start a children's home in conjunction with a well-established ministry team. The primary focus will be to rescue abandoned children and raise them in a family setting. They will also be going into Guadalajara to do street ministry, sharing the Gospel with some of the 240,000 children who live on the streets. Orphanages release children at the age of 12, and many turn to drugs and prostitution or are victims of older street dwellers.

The Ramey’s will be providing homes for children and young girls at risk, giving them love, an education, and some basic skill training.

While the children’s home is in the construction phase, the Rameys are looking for individuals and churches to join their personal support team and/or provide one-time gifts to complete the home.

And Jesus called a little child unto him and set him in the midst of them, and said, "Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me." Matthew 18:2-5

Microfinance

Microfinance, sometimes called microcredit or microloans, is often the only way people in the developing world can begin to make a living for themselves. Our ministry partners offer small cash loans to start a business, or they provide the raw materials and training to get someone started in a business. For example, in a remote village in India, women are learning how to make laundry soap. With the profits from their sales, they pay for their materials and feed their families. Another group of women in far North India is learning how to sew and make candles. This is a tangible way for people to experience the love and concern of Jesus in their lives.

Your gift toward microfinance starts a process that eventually becomes self sustaining, generating income for years to come. You can't get a better return on an investment!

HIV/Aids Ministry in Africa

CMF International in southeastern Ivory Coast ministers to the medically underserved. Since 2004 they have expanded both the physical and spiritual outreach of the medical clinic while making it administratively self-sustaining. They have begun Community Health Evangelism programs, holistically impacting these communities with the Gospel, disease prevention, and Christian development. In 2006 they began an HIV treatment program, providing hundreds of individuals with testing and life-saving medicines as they share the love of Jesus with the afflicted and their families.

Evangelistic Coffee Houses in Asia

As a way to employ women at risk and establish a missions presence in difficult countries, you can help start evangelistic coffee houses in Asia.

Why does Good Measure like this type of ministry?

It's good stewardship: a coffee house makes its own money, provides jobs and job training for the poor, and can double as a church building/mission office.

It's evangelistic: in open countries, it can play Christian music, offer Christian literature, hold evangelistic meetings and Bible studies. In closed countries, it can be a place to develop relationships, teach English classes, and provide a way for the missionary to "be there."

Please give toward the $10,000 needed to open an evangelistic coffee house in Asia.
